ORCID Policy

The International Journal of Healthcare and Education (IJHE) strongly encourages the use of ORCID iDs to promote transparency, ensure proper author identification, and enhance the discoverability of published research.

What is ORCID?

ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) provides a unique, persistent digital identifier that distinguishes researchers and connects their professional activities across disciplines, institutions, and countries.

IJHE’s ORCID Requirements

  • Authors:
All corresponding authors are required to provide their ORCID iD at the time of manuscript submission.
Co-authors are strongly encouraged to also link an ORCID iD to their profile during the submission process.

  • Reviewers and Editors:
IJHE encourages peer reviewers and editorial board members to register for and use an ORCID iD to maintain a transparent academic record and to enable credit for review and editorial activities.

How ORCID iDs are Used

  • The ORCID iD of each corresponding author is published alongside the article.

  • ORCID iDs are included in the journal’s metadata to enhance the visibility, citation, and integration of research outputs with other systems such as Crossref, Scopus, and institutional repositories.

Benefits of ORCID for Authors

  • Ensures correct attribution of scholarly work

  • Simplifies the manuscript submission process

  • Enhances professional visibility and credibility

  • Connects research activities and achievements across platforms and publishers
