The Journal of Complementary Therapies in Midwifery and Nursing (JCTMN) is an international, peer-reviewed open-access journal that publishes high-quality research and scholarly articles focused on the integration of complementary and alternative therapies within nursing and midwifery practice. The journal serves as a platform for academics, clinicians, researchers, and practitioners who seek to explore and advance holistic, culturally sensitive, and evidence-informed approaches to maternal and women's health, family-centered care, and community-based nursing interventions.

Focus and Scope

JCTMN welcomes submissions that address the application, efficacy, and integration of non-pharmacological and traditional health practices in midwifery and nursing. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Reflexology, massage therapy, aromatherapy, and herbal medicine

  • Mindfulness, yoga, guided imagery, and other mind-body interventions

  • Integrative models of maternity care

  • Cultural, spiritual, and indigenous healing practices

  • Complementary care in chronic illness, reproductive health, palliative care, and community health nursing

  • Systematic reviews, clinical trials, implementation studies, and case reports in complementary care

The journal supports interdisciplinary approaches and values submissions that emphasize ethical, culturally competent, and patient-centered practices.

Open Access Policy

JCTMN follows a gold open access model, meaning all articles are freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication. Authors retain the copyright to their work under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing for maximum dissemination and reuse, provided proper credit is given.

There are no article processing charges (APCs) or submission fees, in line with the journal's commitment to knowledge equity and accessibility.

Archiving and Digital Preservation

JCTMN is committed to the long-term preservation of its content. The journal is part of the LOCKSS and CLOCKSSarchival systems, ensuring that published articles remain accessible even in the event of system failure or discontinuation.
