Journal Archiving Policy

The Journal of Community Health and Nursing (JCHN) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. We ensure that scholarly articles remain available to researchers, students, and the public regardless of journal status or publisher changes. Our archiving policy includes the following components:

1. Digital Preservation

All published articles in JCHN are digitally preserved through the following strategies:

  • Institutional Repository: All issues are stored on secure institutional repositories managed by PT Inovasi Multi Guna.

  • Internal Redundant Backups: Full journal content is regularly backed up on multiple servers to prevent data loss in case of technical failure.

  • Offline Archiving: Periodic offline backups are maintained on encrypted external drives and secure cloud services.

2. PKP Preservation Network (Optional for OJS-based Journals)

JCHN utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) for Open Journal Systems (OJS) to ensure long-term digital preservation via LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) technology. This allows for decentralized and distributed archiving among a network of partner libraries.

3. Self-Archiving by Authors

Authors are permitted to:

  • Archive the submitted, accepted, and published versions of their articles in institutional or subject-specific repositories.

  • Post articles on personal websites, university profiles, and academic social networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu) with a full citation to the final published version.

4. Metadata Archiving

All article metadata is systematically preserved and indexed with DOI assignment to ensure retrievability via cross-platform bibliographic databases and search engines (e.g., Google Scholar, DOAJ, GARUDA).

5. In Case of Journal Discontinuation

Should the journal cease publication for any reason, all published content will remain permanently accessible via the journal's website and will continue to be preserved in the above-mentioned repositories and archiving systems.
