Journal History

The Journal of Community Health and Nursing (JCHN) was officially established in 2025 as part of an academic publishing initiative by PT Inovasi Multi Guna, an Indonesian-based publisher dedicated to advancing healthcare innovation, nursing science, and public health education across Southeast Asia and beyond.

Founding Vision

JCHN was created to respond to the growing demand for a scholarly platform that focuses on community-based health care, nursing practice, and public health interventions, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs)such as Indonesia. Recognizing the need to bridge the gap between research, practice, and policy, the journal was founded with a mission to:

  • Disseminate evidence-based knowledge that improves community health outcomes

  • Support nursing innovation and education at grassroots levels

  • Promote open access publishing to ensure equity in knowledge sharing

  • Encourage collaborative and interdisciplinary research in local, regional, and global health contexts

 Inaugural Issue – June 2025

The first issue of JCHN was launched in June 2025, marking the beginning of a triannual publication cycle with issues scheduled for June, October, and February each year. The inaugural volume highlights contributions from Indonesian scholars, community-based nursing practitioners, and public health experts.
