Journal History

The International Journal of Adolescent and Pediatric Health (IJAPH) was established in June 2025 as a peer-reviewed, open access academic journal committed to advancing scholarly discourse and evidence-based practice in adolescent and pediatric health care.


 Founding and Vision

IJAPH was founded by a multidisciplinary group of health professionals, researchers, and educators under the auspices of PT Inovasi Multi Guna, with the vision of:

  • Providing a dedicated scholarly platform for issues affecting children and adolescents

  • Supporting research from emerging scholars and institutions, particularly in low- and middle-income countries

  • Fostering cross-sectoral knowledge exchange between public health, pediatrics, nursing, psychology, and education


 Milestones and Development

  • June 2025: Launch of the inaugural issue (Vol. 1 No. 1), featuring original research and case studies from Southeast Asia

  • 2025: Full adoption of Open Journal Systems (OJS) to manage submission, review, and publication

  • 2026 (planned): Application to major indexing databases such as DOAJ, EBSCO, Crossref, and Garuda

  • 2027–2028 (target): Meeting technical and ethical criteria for Scopus and PubMed Central indexing


Digital Publishing & Open Access

IJAPH is fully open access and publishes its content under a Creative Commons license (CC BY 4.0) to promote unrestricted dissemination of knowledge. All articles are archived and preserved in secure digital repositories.


 Editorial Governance

The journal is governed by an international editorial board and adheres to best practices as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and the Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA).
