ORCID Policy

The International Journal of Adolescent and Pediatric Health (IJAPH) supports the use of Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) to promote transparency, credit attribution, and reliable identification of authors and contributors throughout the scholarly publishing process.

 What is ORCID?

ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a unique, persistent identifier that distinguishes individual researchers and links their work across journals, disciplines, and systems.

Author Requirements

IJAPH requires the corresponding author to provide a valid ORCID iD at the time of manuscript submission. Other authors are strongly encouraged to also register and link their ORCID iD.

  • ORCID iDs should be included in the author metadata during manuscript submission via the journal’s online system (OJS).

  • The ORCID iD will be displayed on the published article and linked to the author’s profile on https://orcid.org.

  • Ensures accurate attribution of authorship

  • Improves discoverability and citation of published work

  • Supports automated manuscript tracking and funding integration

  • Helps prevent authorship confusion, especially among researchers with similar names

 Editorial and Reviewer ORCID Use

  • All editors and peer reviewers are encouraged to register for ORCID iDs.

  • Reviewers who wish to receive recognition for their contributions (via services like Publons or ORCID record integration) may include their iD in the system when accepting review invitations.
