IJAPH is an online-only, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by PT Inovasi Multi Guna, Indonesia.

The journal publishes scholarly work relevant to adolescent health, pediatric health, child development, nursing, clinical care, public health, health promotion, digital health, health technology, education, and related interdisciplinary fields.

Authors should review the journal's Focus and Scope, Author Guidelines, Section Policy, Research Ethics Policy, Peer Review Policy, and Publication Ethics policies before submitting a manuscript.

Author Guidelines

All manuscripts are initially assessed by the Editor-in-Chief or a designated editor to determine whether they are suitable for IJAPH.

Initial editorial assessment considers:

  • relevance to the journal's Focus and Scope;
  • compliance with manuscript preparation requirements;
  • originality and scholarly contribution;
  • methodological quality;
  • ethical compliance;
  • completeness of author and manuscript metadata;
  • conflicts of interest and funding disclosure; and
  • overall suitability for peer review.

Manuscripts that do not meet essential submission, ethical, or scholarly requirements may be declined before external peer review.

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening will normally proceed to double-blind peer review, usually involving at least two independent reviewers.

Reviewer recommendations are advisory. Final editorial decisions are made through the journal's editorial process.

Before Submitting

Authors should ensure that:

  • the manuscript represents original scholarly work;
  • the manuscript is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal;
  • substantially related previous dissemination has been appropriately disclosed;
  • all listed authors meet the journal's authorship requirements;
  • all authors have approved the submitted version;
  • the corresponding author has permission to communicate with the journal on behalf of all authors;
  • appropriate ethics approval, exemption, or waiver has been obtained where required;
  • informed consent, parental or guardian permission, and assent have been obtained where applicable;
  • consent for publication has been obtained for identifiable patient or participant information where required;
  • conflicts of interest and funding sources have been disclosed;
  • tables, figures, images, and other materials are appropriately numbered and cited;
  • permission has been obtained for third-party copyrighted material where necessary;
  • references have been checked for accuracy and completeness; and
  • substantive use of artificial intelligence or AI-assisted technologies has been disclosed where required.

Double-Blind Manuscript Preparation

IJAPH applies a double-blind peer-review process.

Authors should therefore submit:

1. Title Page

The title page should contain:

  • manuscript title;
  • full names of all authors;
  • institutional affiliations;
  • corresponding author information;
  • email addresses;
  • ORCID iDs where available;
  • funding information;
  • conflict of interest statement; and
  • other author-identifying information.

2. Blinded Manuscript

The manuscript prepared for peer review should not contain unnecessary information that reveals the identity of the authors or their institutions.

Authors should remove:

  • author names;
  • author affiliations;
  • author email addresses;
  • acknowledgments identifying the authors;
  • institutional identifiers where unnecessary for scientific interpretation; and
  • identifying information in document properties where practicable.

Ethics information should remain sufficiently detailed to permit ethical assessment while avoiding unnecessary disclosure of author identity during review where possible.

Manuscript Types

IJAPH accepts manuscript categories described in the journal's Section Policy, including:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Case Reports and Case Studies
