Principles of Transparency
The International Journal of Adolescent and Pediatric Health (IJAPH) is committed to transparent, responsible, and ethical scholarly publishing.
The journal's policies and practices are guided by the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, developed collaboratively by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA), and World Association of Medical Editors (WAME).
Reference to these principles indicates that IJAPH uses them as guidance for responsible scholarly publishing and does not imply membership, accreditation, certification, or indexing by any of these organizations unless such status is explicitly stated and independently verifiable.
1. Journal Name
The official title of the journal is:
International Journal of Adolescent and Pediatric Health
Abbreviation: IJAPH
The journal name reflects its scholarly focus on adolescent health, pediatric health, child and youth development, healthcare, nursing, public health, health promotion, and related interdisciplinary fields.
The journal name is not intended to misrepresent its origin, ownership, scope, or affiliation with another publication or organization.
2. Journal Website
The official IJAPH journal website is:
https://journal.img.co.id/index.php/ijaph
The journal website provides information concerning:
- Focus and Scope;
- Editorial Team;
- Peer Reviewers;
- Author Guidelines;
- manuscript types;
- peer-review procedures;
- publication ethics;
- research ethics;
- copyright and licensing;
- open access;
- Article Processing Charges;
- publication frequency;
- archiving;
- contact information; and
- current and previous journal issues.
The journal website uses HTTPS and is maintained to support accessibility, security, transparency, and continuity of scholarly publishing activities.
Publisher Website:
https://img.co.id
The publisher website and the journal website have separate functions and should not be confused.
The current transparency principles specifically call for a maintained HTTPS website that does not contain misleading information and clearly displays aims/scope, readership, manuscript types, authorship requirements, and ISSN information where assigned.
3. Publishing Schedule
IJAPH is an online-only journal published three times a year (triannually).
The scheduled publication months are:
- February
- June
- October
The journal aims to maintain a regular publication schedule.
Actual publication dates are recorded transparently in each published issue and article.
Publication Format: Online Only
Publication Frequency: Three Issues per Year (Triannual)
4. Archiving and Digital Preservation
IJAPH is committed to maintaining the continued accessibility and integrity of its published content.
Published articles, issues, and associated metadata are maintained through the journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
PT Inovasi Multi Guna maintains regular backups of journal content and publishing data to support continuity and reduce the risk of data loss.
Authors may also deposit published versions of their articles in appropriate institutional, subject, or academic repositories in accordance with the journal's CC BY 4.0 license.
Information regarding participation in external long-term digital preservation networks will be displayed only after such participation has been officially activated and independently verified.
This wording is intentionally conservative: the transparency principles expect journals to describe a genuine backup and long-term preservation plan, rather than simply list preservation services that may not actually be active.
5. Copyright
Authors retain copyright to their published articles.
Upon publication, authors grant IJAPH a non-exclusive right of first publication and permission to publish and distribute the article under the journal's open-access license.
Copyright information is stated in the journal's Copyright Notice and should also be reflected consistently in published article records and full-text publications.
6. Licensing
Articles published in IJAPH are distributed under the:
Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0)
https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
The license permits users to share and adapt published materials, including for commercial purposes, provided appropriate attribution is given and changes are indicated.
Third-party material may carry different copyright or licensing terms where specifically stated.
IJAPH's licensing and copyright information is publicly available through the journal website.
7. Publication Ethics and Editorial Policies
IJAPH maintains policies addressing responsible scholarly publishing and research integrity.
These include policies concerning:
- authorship and contributorship;
- plagiarism and inappropriate text reuse;
- duplicate and redundant publication;
- conflicts of interest;
- research ethics;
- informed consent;
- data fabrication and falsification;
- complaints and appeals;
- corrections, retractions, and withdrawals;
- artificial intelligence and AI-assisted technologies;
- copyright and intellectual property; and
- other forms of publication misconduct.
Credible allegations of research or publication misconduct are evaluated according to available evidence and relevant journal policies.
Editorial actions are proportionate to the nature and severity of the concern.
This is consistent with the transparency principles, which specifically expect journals to state policies on authorship, appeals, misconduct, conflicts, data sharing, ethical oversight, intellectual property, and post-publication corrections/retractions.
8. Peer Review
IJAPH applies a double-blind peer-review process.
Under this model:
- authors do not know the identities of reviewers; and
- reviewers are not provided with the identities of authors during the review process.
Manuscripts that pass initial editorial screening are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject of the manuscript.
Reviewers are selected based on:
- subject expertise;
- appropriate academic or professional qualifications;
- ability to provide an objective assessment; and
- absence of relevant conflicts of interest.
Reviewer recommendations are advisory.
Final editorial decisions are made through the journal's editorial process based on:
- scholarly contribution;
- methodological rigor;
- ethical compliance;
- originality;
- relevance to the journal's scope; and
- peer-review reports.
Article types that are subject only to editorial review, such as invited editorials where applicable, are clearly identified in the journal's Section Policy.
IJAPH does not guarantee manuscript acceptance or a fixed publication timeframe.
The current transparency principles explicitly discourage journals from guaranteeing acceptance and recommend that peer-review methods, identity masking, decision processes, and exceptions be clearly disclosed.
9. Access
IJAPH is an open-access journal.
Published articles are made freely and immediately accessible through the journal website without subscription fees or mandatory reader registration.
Articles are distributed under the CC BY 4.0 license.
There is no printed subscription edition of IJAPH.
10. Ownership and Management
IJAPH is owned and published by:
PT Inovasi Multi Guna, Indonesia
PT Inovasi Multi Guna provides institutional, administrative, technical, and publishing support for the journal.
The publisher respects the editorial independence of the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board.
Financial, commercial, or institutional interests do not determine manuscript acceptance or rejection.
11. Editorial Board and Advisory Structure
IJAPH maintains an Editorial Board consisting of scholars and professionals whose expertise is relevant to the journal's Focus and Scope.
The journal website publicly provides:
- names;
- editorial roles;
- institutional affiliations; and
- scholarly identifiers where available.
Editorial Board membership should be based on genuine participation and consent.
The journal periodically reviews its editorial structure to ensure that it remains relevant and appropriate.
This follows the transparency principle that board members should be recognized experts, publicly identified with their affiliations, kept up to date, and have agreed to serve.

There is:
- no manuscript submission fee;
- no peer-review fee; and
- no fee for rejected manuscripts.
The APC is payable only after a manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.
Payment does not influence:
- reviewer selection;
- peer-review outcomes;
- editorial decisions;
- manuscript acceptance or rejection; or
- publication priority.
Any waiver or reduction policy will be stated publicly only when such a policy is formally implemented.
The transparency principles specifically require author fees and any waiver conditions to be easy to find and disclosed early in the submission process.
14. Revenue Sources
IJAPH's publishing activities are supported by:
- PT Inovasi Multi Guna as the publisher; and
- applicable Article Processing Charges (APCs).
IJAPH does not generate revenue from:
- print subscriptions;
- print-copy sales;
- commercial advertising;
- sponsored editorial content;
- product endorsements; or
- paid promotional materials.
Revenue sources do not influence editorial or peer-review decisions.
15. Advertising
IJAPH does not accept commercial advertising.
The journal does not accept:
- paid promotional materials;
- advertorials;
- sponsored editorial content;
- product endorsements; or
- advertisements connected with editorial decisions.
Commercial interests do not influence peer review, manuscript acceptance, publication priority, or scientific content.
The transparency principles require journals to state clearly whether advertising is accepted and, if it is, to separate it completely from editorial decisions.
16. Direct Marketing
IJAPH may communicate legitimate:
- calls for papers;
- journal announcements;
- publication updates;
- reviewer invitations; or
- other scholarly information
to relevant academic and professional communities.
Such communication must be:
- accurate;
- professional;
- appropriately targeted;
- non-deceptive;
- unobtrusive; and
- consistent with the journal's actual policies and publication status.
IJAPH does not support misleading solicitation, mass unsolicited messaging, deceptive indexing claims, guaranteed publication claims, or aggressive manuscript recruitment.
Information used in journal promotion must accurately represent the journal, publisher, peer-review process, fees, indexing status, and publication practices.
Commitment to Transparency
IJAPH is committed to periodically reviewing its policies to ensure that information displayed on the journal website remains:
- accurate;
- current;
- internally consistent;
- independently verifiable where appropriate; and
- aligned with responsible scholarly publishing practices.
If the journal's publishing model, fees, editorial structure, licensing, preservation arrangements, or indexing status changes, the relevant website information will be updated accordingly.
